Remembering Moms Bouquet Outreach Program 2025 Nomination Stories
Mother’s Day is meant to celebrate the moms in our lives. However for those who have experienced loss, celebrating Mother’s Day can be bittersweet. The reality is, not everyone is able to celebrate Mother’s Day with a traditional brunch, greenhouse browsing, or shopping/gift-giving.
Whether it has been a recent loss or many years, we wanted to reach people in our community who could use a smile from someone remembering their mom, so we asked for nominations and received an overwhelming response!
We donated our time and materials of bouquets to honor moms in our community for our fourth annual “Remembering Moms” Bouquet Outreach Program. The bouquets were delivered the week before Mother’s Day. We are delighted to share the wonderful memories of the selected nominees!

For Kellie Kratt, in memory of Connie Cloutier
Nomination from anonymous:
I’d like to honor my dear friend Kellie, who recently lost her incredible mom, Connie, after a courageous battle with cancer. Connie was truly one of a kind — the kind of mom whose love, strength, and warmth radiated through everything she did. She was the absolute best, and the bond she shared with Kellie and her family and friends was something beautiful to witness.
In the face of heartbreak, Kellie has shown so much grace, resilience, and love — just like her mom always did. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of a gesture that celebrates both the legacy of an amazing mother and the strength of a daughter carrying that love forward.
I’m nominating Kellie (and family) to receive a bouquet of flowers in honor of Connie — a woman who will always be remembered for her kindness, support, and love for everyone in her life…and also, her delicious chocolate chip pancakes! All my love to the Cloutier Family
For The Cloutier Girls, in memory of Connie Cloutier
Nomination from Cindy Lundeen:
Your mom raised four beautiful , successful daughters. She was a kind and warm hearted lady. A difficult Mother’s Day for all of you as your hearts are heavy without her.
For Megan White, in memory of Tami Schuelke
Nomination from Maria Nyhus:
I would like to nominate my niece , Megan. She lost her mom in February unexpectedly and this will be her first Mother’s Day without her. She was close to her mom and her mom loved her and all her children dearly. I hope this will brighten her day a little.
For Carla Hollingsworth, in
memory of Patricia Anderson
Nomination from Erin Berglund:
This is my mom’s first Mother’s Day without her mom. My mom is the oldest daughter and took loving care of her as she struggled her past few years of life. Pat/Gram was the matriarch, spirit, anchor and glue to our family. Her generosity to us , her community and friends never waivered even as her speech and ability to walk her many miles a day did. Her smile told it all and will be remembered with love always. 92 years is a milestone but not long enough in her eyes or ours. We know she will guide us and we continue to celebrate her with traditions that will live on always. Prosecco cheers to her! Amen
For Kim Lund, in memory of Kathleen Lund
Nomination from anonymous:
Kathleen ¨Kat¨ lived independently with grace, strength and dignity for many years. She loved watching her family as it grew with grand and great grandchildren.
Kats family embraced her independence by supporting her to live at home her entire life.
There were many regular visits to enjoy the day with Mom. They had a routine during each visit that created a beautiful bond between Mom and daughter.
Kim would spend the night often, if she was out for the evening Kat always gave her a curfew.
You were blessed to have a beautiful Mom and she was blessed with a beautiful daughter like you.
Kats love for the animals and birds is continuing in her honor at the Lake.
¨You can always judge someone's character by how they treat animals¨ Kat
For Jackie Bernu, in memory of Julie Bernu
Nomination from Alyssa Scharnott:
Julie was an amazing mother to Jackie and an aunt to me. Her time was cut short by a hard battle with cancer. She always embraced her loved ones with a smile and made those around her at ease and laugh. She is deeply missed by her daughter, Jackie and family. My favorite memory was when I pranked her at a cabin with a mosquito noise machine by putting it under her pillow on the couch. When she went to go to sleep that night, she was convinced that the mosquitoes were breeding & couldn’t figure out why they were being so loud. Everyone was in tears from laughter!
Thank you to all those who took the time to share stories, photos, and submitted nominations for these deserving recipients.
We hope these messages and flowers brightened each one of their Mother’s Days this year.
